Before, I had a long, professionally written bio taking up this space, but I’ve changed my mind and think it would be better to tell you who I am myself. My name is Shannon Leigh. I was born in California, and I currently live in Belfast, Northern Ireland (that’s a part of the UK). 

I am a musician and a composer, I love to write music and play music, and I have a few CDs out with my music. I also love to take photos, make jewelry, and scuba dive (something I haven’t done in several years, but wish I still did).  There are not enough hours in the day to do all the things I love to do, so a few of my hobbies I’ve given up to make more time for more important things.

I have a huge interest in language, and I hope that whatever I end up doing as a job when I am done with school involves this! I speak French (when I’m not being self conscious) and English (obviously). I am also studying Breton, Italian, and German in school (in order from weakest to strongest). I have studied Arabic, Croatian, and Spanish as well, but have yet to seriously pursue in them in the same manner as the other languages.

Lastly, I love to write. This is initially why I started the blog, but I am too timid to actually publish any of my poetry or short stories onto the blog.  So instead, I write about whatever I feel like. However, the blog is mostly used to keep family informed about everything I am doing while I am away.
